Evan Wilkoff is currently a Strategic Consultant for Hembstead Capital, LLC.

Evan Wilkoff focuses his consulting practice on providing capital markets and financing expertise to the Specialty Finance industry, with a wealth of experience in asset backed and structured finance including origination, treasury management, issuance, lending, modeling, and consulting services. 

Wilkoff has been working over the past year on reducing his family’s carbon footprint and implementing green practices in his home. He supports a number of environmental and conservation-focused charities.

From 2010 to 2021, Evan Wilkoff worked as the Executive Vice President at Ascentium Capital LLC. Wilkoff was in charge of capital markets and treasury activities. He created a diverse funding strategy that involved asset-backed security issuance, bank credit facilities, and syndication sources. Under Wilkoff's guidance, the company's origination volume grew to over $2 billion in less than five years and reached $8 billion in a decade.

Wilkoff managed all parts of the asset-backed securities issuance program at Ascentium. This included working with rating agencies, investors, and other key participants. He started this program and successfully issued $3.4 billion across 12 deals. He also managed portfolio sales that totaled $1.4 billion and were sold to 57 buyers, earning more than a 5% gain. Additionally, Wilkoff established and ran an offshore reinsurance company that made notable underwriting profits through a forced-placed insurance product with an insurance partner.
